The 39th edition of the program will feature an extensive selection of artistic events, including concerts, theater, dance, zarzuela, circus, exhibitions and children's activities, which will take place in various venues throughout the city. In this edition, 76 artistic performances of different genres will be presented, with approximately 200 activities programmed in 29 venues, highlighting that more than half of them are free of charge.

Among the outstanding artists participating in this cultural event are Ute Lemper, Eliades Ochoa, Oumou Sangaré, Carlos Sadness, Sole Giménez, Lucas Vidal and Lee Fields, among others. In addition, big names in dance such as the Ballet Nacional de España, the Companhia Nacional de Bailado de Portugal, the Compañía Antonio Gades and Eduardo Guerrero will also have their place in the program.

The opening of the festival will take place on July 5 in Puente del Rey with an aerial show called "Sylphes over the Manzanares River". This year, the festival will feature China as guest country in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Spain. As part of this celebration, various activities will be included in which Chinese culture will be the protagonist. In addition, the international character of the festival will be reflected with the participation of artists and creators from countries such as Germany, Colombia, Cuba, United States, Mali, Mexico, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Japan.

The Conde Duque Cultural Center will once again be one of the main venues, hosting 23 cultural proposals, including concerts and outstanding dance performances. In addition, the program will be extended to 12 districts of the city, expanding its scope and diversity.

The summer cinema will also occupy a prominent place in the afternoons of the park of the Bulb, with the projection of six films on 11, 18 and June 25, as well as 1, 8 and August 15. Cinema will be one of the focuses of interest in this new edition of the Veranos de la Villa. The festival will collaborate with Madrid Film Office in a film activity that will offer tours of the places in the capital that have been the setting for Almodóvar's films, scheduled for July 8, 15, 22 and 29. In addition, there will be guided tours of the Paisaje de la Luz on August 5, 12, 19 and 26, a privileged place that has been the setting for productions such as "El día de la bestia" or "El tiempo entre costuras".

Coinciding with the festival, the third edition of La Sub25 will be held from July 25 to 30 in various venues throughout the city. This festival aimed at young people up to 25 years of age will provide an opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their talent. Among the highlights will be the show "Paradise Circus" by the Carampa circus school, a freestyle soccer show and numerous dance workshops.

For almost two months, the capital city will host hundreds of cultural proposals until its grand closing on Sunday, August 27. To culminate the festival, an ephemeral orchestra composed of 100 cellists and conducted by Giovanni Sollima and Enrico Melozzi will offer a special performance in the Tierno Galván park.
